Gracie Anne Muehlberger was born on October 10, 2004 in St. Louis, Missouri. She moved with her family to Santa Clarita when she was in the second grade, a place that she called home for the rest of her life. Gracie loved to dance, listen to music, and just had to get Starbucks whenever she could. More than anything, she loved her parents, her two brothers, and her dog Yadi.
Gracie's Story & Legacy
Anyone who met Gracie instantly learned that she was a funny, strong, and confident girl. She adored her friends, and they formed a bond that meant they would always stand up for each other when needed. She loved to make videos about makeup, fashion, and anything else going on with her day. Gracie was loved as much as she loved, and her life was unfairly cut short on what was supposed to be a normal day during her fourteenth week of high school.
On the morning of November 14, 2019, Gracie had just purchased tickets to her first Saugus High School dance when a lost and confused 16-year-old student pulled out a .45 caliber Ghost Gun and opened fire. Gracie, along with 14-year-old Dominic Michael Blackwell, were killed by the gunfire, and 3 other students were injured—including Gracie’s best friend Addie. The incident shocked the community and robbed the world of two promising young people. Gracie went to school that day excited for her first high school dance. Instead, she was taken from us in an act of violence.
Today, we choose to remember everything about Gracie that made her 15 years on Earth so incredible. She was a beloved friend, a caring sister, and a loving daughter. Her light will continue to shine through The GracieStrong Foundation as we fight to empower others and teach them that their voice can be used as a tool for good. This is Gracie. We are #GRACIESTRONG.
